During the night's Golden Globe won the romantic musical comedy the whole seven statuettes, which is a new record for the Gala. The a priori acclaimed La La Land was the night's big winner at the Golden Globes.

La La Land hit a record at Golden Globe The film took home prizes including the prestigious for best musical/comedy and best screenplay. With its seven statuettes hit on the previous record of six statuettes, one flew over and the Midnight Express had.

La La Land managed to win all of the categories it was nominated in, something that hasn't been done before. Protagonists Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling received the award for best female, and male, the main role in the musical/comedy.

Damien Chazelle, who was praised for both Best Director and best screenplay, reunited here with the actor j. k. Simmons after Academy Award winning and critically acclaimed Whiplash from 2014. La La Land triumphal March at the Golden Globe Awards, making it one of the big favourites advance ahead of the Oscars, which will take place on 26 February 2017.

La La Land, released on 27 January 2017. Otherwise Casey Affleck was awarded in the category of best actor in a drama for his role performance in the bio-current Manchester by the Sea.
